Mandate

The mandate of the State Department is to: formulate and implement policies to promote, attract, develop, and retain both domestic and foreign direct investments; and, create an enabling business environment for investors for ease of doing business.

In order to achieve our mandate the Strategic Objectives are;

  • To increase the Investment Share in Gross Domestic Product (GDP);
  • To improve the business environment;
  • To attract, develop and retain domestic and foreign direct investments;
  • To generate employment opportunities; 
  • To mobilize resources for investment promotion and development of bankable project profiles.
